In a diaspora contest over the weekend, Enis Özbayam, 23 and a chemistry major, won the title of Mister Türkiye Berlin 2012. Eight men competed for the title. Miss Türkiye Berlin 2012 will be held 09-Jun-2012. 

MISS EARTH PHILIPPINES 2012

Newly crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2012 Stephany Dianne Stefanowitz, 22, a freelance model, designer and representing Quezon City poses for pictures with other winners during coronation night in Manila last night. Stephany beat 47 candidates from different ciities and municipalities of the country with the theme to promote and enhance awareness on the value of conserving energy. MISTER AND MISS MUNDO PARANA 2013

Saturday night saw the co-ed crowning of Miss and Mister Mundo Paraná 2013 in Dois Vizinhos, Paraná, Brazil. Mister Paraná 2013 is Mister Maringá Leandro Araújo. Leandro's runners-up were Mister Francisco Beltrão Adriano Ghisi and Mister Curitiba Fabiano Cristopoliski. Miss Mundo Paraná 2013 is Miss Chopinzinho Talita Akemi Pan. Her runners-up were Miss Francisco Beltrão Mônica Ghisi and Miss Guaraniaçu Joana Marafon.

MISS WORLD KENYA 2012

The Standard, 27-May-2012: Majestically, Terry Mungai the Miss World, Kenya, franchise director and Ashley’s CEO strutted to the podium and after a minute of deafening dramatic suspense announced the winner. “The winner is….. Shamim Nabil,” she read out. Amidst confusion, joy and disbelieve, the 20-year-old broke into tears as the auditorium joined in jubilation with scores screaming and applauding the new beauty queen. Shamim, the Mombasa-born aviation student, waved at the star-studded crowd and looked up to heaven as if to thank her maker. Her childhood dream had come true and with the crown came a cash reward of Sh1million among other enviable goodies. As a queen on the throne, she glittered exalted as the magnificently dressed outgoing Miss World Kenya, Susan Anyango, and Miss World, Ivian Sarcos, joined to crown her the new Miss Kenya title. Minutes before her crowning, Emma Zanelle and Rachel Mahinda had been crowned first and second runners up, respectively. MISS EURO 2012

The new Miss Euro 2012 is Russia's Natalia Prokopenko. She won the title yesterday at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, in the lead-up to the 2012 Euro Cup. First runner-up was Czech Republic's Lucie Kuklava; second runner-up was Denmark's Maureen Wehmer. 16 women competed for the title. The pageant was inaugurated four years ago, when Czech Republic's Dominika Huzvarova won.

MEN'S HEALTH ITALY COVER MODEL CONTEST 2012

Fabio Marra, 23, is the winner of Men's Health Italy Cover Model Contest 2012. His victory was announced last week during a press conference. OK, it is no secret that one of Dean Harris' favorite Miss USA winners in the past ten years or so is the inimitable Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih of Michigan. And, of course, it is no secret that Prof. Chandni thinks she 'wuz abso-f'ing-lutely r-o-b-b-e-d' at Miss Universe 2010. It is all good, though, Paula Sugar, honey, because Rima got cleared of her drunken driving charge and is all set to appear on the new FOX TV show 'The Choice,' a celebrity dating show featuring a list of famous bachelors and bachelorettes (including Rima!) who audition sexy singles for a date night. Among the other famous bachelors and bachelorettes are Joe Jonas and Carmen Electra. In each episode, four celebrities sit in spinning chairs and listen to non-famous prospective dates pitch themselves. Over the course of three rounds, the contestant pool is paired down until each celebrity has chosen their date for the evening.

MISS AND MISTER CC LA BALLENA 2012

This weekend, the new Miss and Mister CC (Centro Comercial) La Ballena were elected. The new Miss CC La Ballena 2012 is Zaida Garcia Saavdera. Runners-up were Ariadna Hernandez Santana and Loeda Gonzalez Ramos. The new Mister CC La Ballena is Nauzet Hernandez Hernandez. Runners-up were Edmundo Perdomo Ocampo and Pablo Sosa Canas. Miss and Mister CC La Ballena is an official preliminary for Miss and Mister Las Palmas. 

MISS UNIVERSE CANADA 2012

Vancouver's Sahar Biniaz, 25,  is the new Miss Universe Canada 2012. She won the title tonight during a gala event at the Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto. Calgary's Adwoa Yamoah was first runner-up. Jenna Talackova may not have been named Miss Universe Canada, but she still made history as the first transgendered female to compete in the contest, making the top 12. A total of 63 women competed for the coveted crown. Special guest at the gala was Miss Universe 1981 first runner-up Dominique Dufour.

MISS WORLD GUAM 2012

 

The new Miss World Guam 2012 is Jeneva Bosko, 19. She won the title last night, which gives her a ticket to China to represent Guam at Miss World 2012. Runners-up for the Miss World Guam 2012 title were Tiara Lizama, 22; Feliciana Tainatongo, 19; and Christiana Williams, 18. A total of nine women competed for the coveted title.

The new Miss and Mister Jura 2012 were elected this past Wednesday evening during a grand, glittering gala at the Halle des expositions in Delémont, Switzerland. (Delémont is the capital of the Swiss canton of Jura.) Miss Jura 2012 is Audrey Germann, 18. Miss Jura 2012 runner-up was Taïmana De Santis de Moutier. Mister Jura 2012 is Silvio Conceiçao, 17. Mister Jura 2012 runner-up was Samuel Stefanizzi. MISS NORTHERN IRELAND 2012

UTV, 15-May-2012: Tiffany Brien has been crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2012 at Belfast's Europa Hotel on Monday. The 21-year-old from Holywood beat 26 other girls to win a stack of prizes, including a contract at Alison Campbell Agency and a year's worth of designer shoes and dresses. Former Miss NI Zoe Salmon and UTV's Marc Mallett hosted the ceremony which saw the University of Ulster Sports Science student come out on top, with Meagan Green coming second and Sarah Ennis placing third. Tiffany will be the second representative from Northern Ireland at the world event in the summer, when she will compete alongside Miss Ireland Rebecca Maguire who is from west Belfast.

MISTER BULGARIA 2012

Contestant #18 and Mister Sofia 2011Martin Ivanov, 23, an accounting student, is the new Mister Bulgaria 2012. He won the title yesterday during a glittering gala at the Rainbow Plaza in Sofia. Runners-up for Mister Bulgaria 2012 were Vladimir Enchev, 18, and Ivaylo Andonov, 20.
