MISS BOTSWANA 2013

Over the weekend Miss Botswana 2013 was crowned. She is Rosemary Keofitlhetse. Rosemary will now represent her Southern African nation in Miss World 2013. She beat out fellow contestants Sharon Seno, Baeti Sebera, Tlotlo Patlakwe, Enrica Herbst, Tsaone Mogapi, Nono Popong, Betty Seatholo, Khumo Leburu, Bodiba Moesi, Chebu Jimmy, Segomotso Ramolefe, Refilwe Motaung, Tseo Seitiso, Sandra Mosweo and Baboloki Mathware for the coveted title. 

MISS MUNDO ARGENTINA 2013

Miss Capital Federal Teresa Kuster, 24, is the new Miss Mundo Argentina 2013. She won the title last night during a gala event at City Center Rosario in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. Teresa, a model, hails from the Buenos Aires neighborhood, or barrio, of Villa Urquiza, named after Argentine general and politician Justo José de Urquiza y García. 

Buenos Aires is divided into 48 barrios, each one with a distinct character. Also, each barrio has its own coat of arms, or escudo, as well as holiday. Villa Urquiza's holiday is October 2. Teresa might miss this year's holiday. She is the South American nation's delegate to Miss World, which takes place on 28 September in Indonesia. If Teresa wins Miss World, she would become the country's third winner of the coveted crown. NUEVO DIA, NUEVA REINA

A new day, a new queen! And the new queen is none other than Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2013, Nayadalee Torres, 24. Wearing the Miss Caguas sash, she won the coveted title last night and will represent Puerto Rico at Miss World 2013 later this year in Indonesia. Naydalee is a pageant veteran, having competed in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2012 and Top Model of the World 2012. First runner-up for the Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2013 title was Miss Toa Baja Franceska Toro. 20 women competed for this year's crown. 

FRESH FROM BRAZIL

Several weeks ago, A Capa reported that Mister Brasil 2011 Lucas Malvacini will play the gay lover of a married man in the upcoming Rede Globo telenovela "Amor a Vida," Let's hope there is at least one scene where Lucas' character gets "fresh" with the other character!

MISS AND MISTER LATVIA

The new Miss and Mister Latvia  are Liliana Garkalne and Mareks Mohovikovs. The won their coveted titles today during a ceremony held at the International Exhibition Center in Kipsala. Runners-up in the 25th annual contest were Beate Baranovska (vice-Miss Latvia) and Guntars Logins (vice-Mister Latvia). For more more information and pictures, visit the Miss Latvia website. 

MISTER RODEIO BRASIL 2013

The new Mister Rodeio Brasil 2013 is Mister Rio Grande do Norte Lucas Bovi., 22. He won the third annual title last night in Barretos (SP). Completing the top five were Mister Santa Catarina Rômulo Kazimierz, Mister Rio de Janeiro Bruno Canaan, Mister Pernambuco Neto Meira, and Miste Bahia Walter de Jesus.

WHO WILL BE THE NEW MISTER SLOVENIA?

The search for the new Mister Slovenia 2013 is underway! During a casting, a jury selected 20 candidates to compete for slots in the semi-final, which will take place on 04 May. The final will take place on 12 June. Both events will be held at the Klub Cirkus in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana. Vote for your favorite to move onto the semi-final @ Mister Slovenia's FB page. MISS UNIVERSE PH 2013

Ariella Arida, 24, and with a BS in chemistry, won the Bb. Pilipinas Universe / Miss Philippines Universe title on Sunday. She beat 49 other candidates during the 50th anniversary gala event. Winning the Bb. Pilipinas Miss International 2013 title was Bea Santiago. Cindy Miranda won the Bb. Pilipinas Miss Tourism 2013 title; Mutya Datul was elected Bb. Pilipinas Miss Supranational 2013; and Pia Wurtzbach was declared first runner-up. Rounding out the top 15 were Imelda Schweighart; Grace Yann Apuad; Charmaine Elima; Rhea Nakpil; Amanda Navasero; Noelle Punzalan; Camille Nazar; Mariel de Leon; Joyce Respicio; and Parul Shah. Special award winners were:

MISS AND MISTER SAO PAULO 2014

Miss Americana, Victória Elisa, is the new Miss São Paulo World 2014, and  Mister São Paulo (city), Victors Stevaux, is the new Mister São Paulo 2014. They won their titles on Friday night, during a gala in Sumaré. 

Runners-up for the Miss São Paulo World 2014 title were Miss Sumaré Alice Santos and Miss Santo André Mariana Rodrigues. Mister Santos Diego Bernardo and Mister Sorocaba Matheus Lamb were the runners-up for the Mister São Paulo 2014 title. (Source: UOL Noticias)

Stunning blonde Sancler Frantz, 22, Miss Ilha dos Lobos, is the new Miss Brasil World 2013. She won the coveted title last night during gala event at the Portobello Resort & Safari in Mangaratiba in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Runners-up were Raquel Benetti, Miss Espírito Santo Raquel Benetti, and Thainara Latenik, Miss Santa Catarina. Sancler was crowned by Miss World 2012 Wenxia Yu of China. 

MISTER BRASIL 2013

Mister Ilhas do Delta do Jacuí Reinaldo Dalcin is the new Mister Brasil 2013. He won the coveted title last night during a gala event at the Portobello Resort & Safari in Mangaratiba in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Reinaldo, a Cancer, is 27, stands 1m80, loves bossa nova. He hails originally from Canoas in Rio Grande do Sul. Runners-up for the title were Mister Santa Catarina Diego Novicki and Mister Rio Grande do Sul Jhonathan Marko.

Rounding out the top six were Mister Tocantins Douglas Schwengber; Mister Ilhas de Florianópolis Hugo Sanges Trufelli; and Mister Minas Gerais Junior Custódio. And completing the top 16 were Mister Distrito Federal Ricardo Fiorillo; Mister Fernando de Noronha Lucas Arantes; Mister Ilhabela Diego Galante; Mister São Paulo Nelson Lara; Mister Atol das Rocas Sidney Allan; Mister Mato Grosso Tony Britto; Mister Ilha de Porto Belo Toni Faccio; Miser Ilha dos Lobos Bruno Vanin; Mister Acre Ricardo Marques; and Mister Alagoas Luiz Felipe Barbosa.

The contest was chock-a-block with past Mister Brasil titleholders and contestants, including judges Jonas Sulzbach and Lucas Gil. The current Miss World and Mister World were also judges. 

MISS UNIVERSE SR 2013

 

The new Miss Universe SR (Slovak Republic) 2013 is stunning blonde Jeanette Borhyová, 20. She won the coveted title during a live, nationally-televised, glittering gala in Bratislava on Thursday night. First runner-up was Lucia Slaninková, and second runner-up was Lucia Kačurová.
