The new Miss World Spain 2013 is Miss  País Vasco Elena Ibarbia, 18 and a communications student. She won the newly-minted, first annual title last night during a glittering, gala outdoor ceremony in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

MISTER INTERNATIONAL SPAIN 2013

The new Mr. International Spain is drop-dead gorgeous malagueño Adrián Gallardo, 25. He beat off 19 other men for the coveted title and a ticket to Mr. International 2013 to take place later this year in Jakarta, Indonesia. Runners-up in the contest held last night at a resort in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife were Mister Valencia José Pedro Mascarell and Mister Castellón Mario Frías.

MISS TAHITI 2013

Miss Tahiti 2013 is Mehiata Riaria, 21 and 1m78. She won the coveted title - and a ticket to Miss France 2014 - tonight during a glittering ceremony. First runner-up was Maeva Simonin; second runner-up was Ohana Huber.

Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2012 Avionne Mark

The Guardian, 25-Jun-2013: The Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe Pageant will this year feature new and exciting elements that include a reality television series, game challenges and a fashion extravaganza at the final.

Screening for the competition takes place at the Hilton Trinidad, St Ann’s on July 6 and 7 from 9 am to 3 pm and 9 am to noon respectively. Twenty contestants will be selected to compete in the lead-up series of events towards the final on September 7.

After producing the pageant for the first time last year, the team from Tribe Carnival led by Dean Ackin is ready to move away from the traditional pageant style and introduce a new concept for the brand and show. MORE...

MISS AUSTRIA 2013

Ena Kadic, 23 and 1m77, is the new Miss Austria 2013. Competing as "Vizemiss Tirol," she won the coveted title tonight during a glittering ceremony at Casino Baden. 

MR ENGLAND 2013

The new Mr England 2013 is Jordan Williams. He won the title over the weekend. Runners-up were Josh Gordan and David Stoker.

MISS BiH 2013

The new Miss BiH (Bosnia i Herzegovina) 2013 is Sanda Gutić, 19 and 1m78, from Brcko. She won the title tonight during a gala, televised event  in Banja Luka. She will be the multi-ethnic Balkan nation's delegate to Miss World 2013.  Runners up at the 18th annual competition were Husneta Tupković from Tuzla and Jelena Stevanovic from Doboj.

eonline, 13-Jun-2013: These Miss USA winners are getting naked for a cause!

Ahead of this weekend's 2013 Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas, past winners Shanna Moakler (1995), Shandi Finnessey (2004),Susie Castillo (2003) and Alyssa Campanella (2011) are stripping down and posing nude in a sexy new ad for animal rights organization PETA.

In the gorgeous black and white photo, the four lovely ladies stand side-by-side while gazing into the camera next to the words next to the words, "Feel Beautiful in Your Own Skin, and Let Animals Keep Theirs."

"As long as I'm the director of Miss Nevada, we will never award fur coats as prizes, and I urge my fellow pageant directors to make the same pledge," Moakler said in a statement to PETA. "Kind people today are taking a stand against cruelty to animals—so a fur coat is no prize for a compassionate, socially-aware woman."

"I've been an animal lover all my life, and the more I learned of the torture that animals go through in the name of fashion, I just think it's so unnecessary," Castillo says. She added that she feels "blessed" to team up with her pageant sisters "to take a stand united and to tell the pageant industry not to support the fur industry."

Moakler, Finnessey, Castillo and Campanella have joined with PETA to urge the pageant industry as a whole to adopt a universal fur-free policy. Additionally, the former Miss USAs want pageants nationwide to stop awarding fur coats as prizes, as some state pageants still offer these gifts as prizes to winners.

MISTER SLOVENIA 2013

The new Mister Slovenia is Jure Rugani. He won the coveted title today. Matija Dušak won the title of Best Model.

Blonde Dominique Rinderknecht, 23, of Zurich won the highly coveted Miss Schweiz (Suisse/Svizzera/Switzerland) 2013 title on Saturday. She of the "coupe garçonne" will now compete for the title of Miss Universe 2013. Will she keep the coupe? We'll know in December.

MISS CI 2013

The new Miss Côte d`Ivoire 2013 is the absolutely gorgeous Aïssata Dia. She won the coveted title last night during a glittering, gala ceremony. First runner-up (or 1ère dauphine) was Aïda Konaté. Second runner-up was Karine Diplo. We would love to see Aïssata at Miss Universe, but...hélas...are continously dejected by the small showing of African nations at Miss Universe.

MISS GIBRALTAR 2013

Maroua Kharbouch, 22, was elected Miss Gibraltar 2013 during a glittering gala held at the John Mackintosh Hall last night. First runner-up (or princess)  was Jamielee Randall, 21. Second runner-up (or princess) was Stacey Britto, 21.

CABALLERO DE ESPAÑA 2013

Alejandro Espinar, 22 and 1m88, of Madrid is the new Caballero de España 2013. He won the title last Friday, during a gala event - a "fiesta oficial" - in Madrid. 

Alejandro's runners-up were Antonio Jaime, 22 and 1m90, of Ciudad Real; Xavi Córtes, 19 and 1m87, of Valencia; Oscar Rodríguez of Pontevedra; and Joel de Gouveia, 20 and 1m78, of Tenerife.

And the winner is...Madrid!

The Grey Lady aka The New York Times is great today! In the print edition, on page A6 - the first page of their international section - is an article on Miss World and the bikini ban for this year's contest! Our fave quote from the article?

“It has been misunderstood by some people that Miss World is a beauty competition focusing on the physical attractiveness of a woman’s body,” the organizer, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, an Indonesian media tycoon, said.

We have certainly been under that misunderstanding forever and always, and we will not allow an Indonesian media tycoon to disabuse us of this misunderstanding!
