And the new Mister Poland 2014 is ...

#6! Raphael Maślak! He beat 11 other men in a competition tonight at the Cultural Centre in Bielsko-Biala and will now represent Poland in Mr. World 2014 in June. His runners-up (Vice-Mister) were #4 Adam Kwasniewski; #12 Jakub Kapol; and #7 Raphael Najbor.

In what can only be described as a triple gala event, the evening also saw Carolina Trepka win the title of Miss Beskydy 2014 and Marcelina Zietek win the Miss South Poland Teen 2013 title.

In addition to her runway and print modeling, Çağıl, a huge sports fan, is a host and commentator for sports network GSTV, sort of like a Turkish ESPN.

MR MONDO ITALIA 2014

Adamo Pasqualon of Padova, 22 and 1m96, is the new Mister Mondo Italia 2014. He won the title over the weekend at a contest in Milan and will now represent Italy at Mr. World 2014. In addition to his new title, Adamo is the current Mister Italia Veneto 2013. Runners-up were Andrea Luceri, 22, of Gallipoli, and Sonny Marchetti of Milan.

GGPP 2014

Better late than never! And goodness knows we never miss an opportunity to blog about a Brazilian co-ed swimsuit contest! One of our faves is the Garoto e Garota Piscina, held last month in Pará de Minas, Minas Gerais. The official title of the 2014 edition was Garoto e Garota Piscina Premissa (GGPP). This year's winners were Lorena Alves, 16 and 1m72, and Regis Hebert, 22 and 1m80. Runners-up were Alexandre Rezende and Emily Almeida. (Photos: Gazeta Paraminese)

MISTER UNIVERSO BRASIL 2014

Bruno Mooneyhan, Mister Universo Rio Grande do Norte, won the Mister Brasil Universo 2014 contest last night. Bruno is 23, 1m90, and an electrical engineer and model. He beat off 26 other men for the title at the conclusion the gala held at the Teatro Luiz Mendonça in Recife. Bruno will now compete in Mister Universo 2014, set for 10-June in the Dominican Republic.

Runners-up were Mister Universo Distrito Federal Bruno Rocha, 1m84, and Mister Rio Grande do Sul Daniel Gross, 1m99. Rounding out the top five were Mister Paraná Bruno Pascuetto and Mister Espirito Santo Felipe Vasconcelos.

Completing the top 15 were Francisco Carlos Filho (Acre), Murillo Xavier Vilella (Amapá), Bruno Mendes Ferreira (Amazonas), Victor Hugo Santos (Mato Grosso), Jhonnatas Clayton Silva (Minas Gerais), Agani Will Nascimento de Sousa (Paraiba), Henrique Freitas (Pernambuco), Victor Bruno Alves (Piaui), Juliano Carlos Oliveira (Roraima) e Mauricio Tertuliano (Tocantins).

MISS MOLDOVA 2014

Alexandra Căruntu,17, is the new Miss Moldova 2014. She won the title last night at the conclusion of a gala event at the Leogrand Hotel and Convention Center in Chisinau. She beat 19 other women for the title, a title which gives her right to compete in Miss World 2014. Alexandra, a student and print model, was first runner-up in last year's contest.

We think we are starting to look forward to Mister Brasil every year more than Miss Universe! Almost. But we daresay that Mister Brasil is the forthcoming competition that we are the most excited about right now! With each competition, the field of competitors gets better and better - hats off to the organizers for this feat! 10-May cannot get here soon enough. In the meantime, we are following the new and absolutely fantastic @misterbrasiloficial Instagram account, as well as the Mister Brasil facebook page and website. And we won't even mention that we are stalking....ahem...we mean following just about every candidate on their individual Instagram accounts or facebook pages.
