MISS UNIVERSE ST. LUCIA 2014

 St. Lucia News Online, 29-Sep-2014: Roxanne Didier-Nicholas was crowned Miss Saint Lucia Universe 2014 on Sunday, September 28 at the Gaiety in Rodney Bay, at the Miss Universe Saint Lucia Pageant. The former University of the West Indies graduate contended among seven beauties, securing the highest points in the competition of 1774, as well the title of best interview. Nicholas who possess a thirst for learning through academics and has a passion for dance will represent St Lucia on the International stage at the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant to take place on January 25, 2015. Securing second place with 1590 points and best swimwear title in the beauty pageant was Louis Victor, followed by Tania Biscarlet in third place, with 1519 points.

REY Y REINA BELLEZA SEVILLA 2014

Rey y Reina Belleza Sevilla 2014 was held on Thursday, 25-Sep, in the Pastora Soler Auditorium, in the city of Coria del Rio (on the Guadalquivir River), with Jose Carlos Benítez, 19, and Maria Jose Olmedo, 17, winning the night. 10 "chicas" and 10 "chicos" competed for the respective rey and reina titles.

MISTER MATO GROSSO TUR 2014 E GAROTA COXIPO 2014

This past Satuday, 20-Sep, saw the joint election of Mister Mato Grosso Tur 2014 Garota Coxipó 2014 at the Hotel Fazenda Mato Grosso. Winning the Mister Mato Grosso 2014 title was Luiz Umberto (Mister Rondonópolis). Runners-up were Michael Bruno (Mister Cuiabá); Julio Schmidt (Mister Sinop); Luam Lima (Mister Lucas do Rio Verde); and Wesdrey Breno (Mister Várzea Grande). In addition, Felipe Gallo (Mister Nobres) and Kenedy Silveira (Mister Chapada dos Guimarães) were selected to represent Mato Grosso at Mister Eco Brasil 2015, schedule for April 2015 in Salvador.  Winning the coveted Garota Coxipó 2014 (in its 31st year!) title was Hosana Marielle. The joint contest was organized by Professor Welson Mesquita.

Rey y Reina Belleza Malaga 2014 are Oussama El Anabi, 19 and 1m84, and Danni Garratt , 16 and 1m79. They were elected during a gala event on Saturday, 20-Sep.

Rey y Reina Belleza Castilla La Mancha 2014 are Antonio Jaime, 22, and Nerea Casas, 18. They were elected on 12-Sep, at the climax of a gala event at the Hotel Convento Santa Clara in Alcázar de San Juan. 

The national Rey y Reina Belleza de España 2014 contest takes place 10-Oct, in Santander.

MISTER MINAS GERAIS 2014/2015 FOR MISTER MUNDO BRASIL 2015

Some of the hottest hunks - 40 to be exact - could be found on Friday evening , 19-Sep, at Decorofest in Patos de Minas, competing for the coveted title of Mister Minas Gerais 2014/2015 for Mister Mundo Brasil 2015. Topping the field? None other than Mister Rio Novo Kaio Juliani, 19, 1m82, and a student. Mister Rio Acima Felipe Henrique dos Santos, 22 and 1m88, was first runner-up; Mister Araguari Matheus Queiroz, 22 and 1m84, was second runner-up; the hometown hunk Mister Patos de Minas João Paulo Fernandes, 21 and 1m78, was third runner-up; and Mister Vespasiano, Max Rogers Batista Rangel, 20 and 1m84, was fourth runner-up. If history is any indication, some of these runners-up may receive sashes at a later date which will give them entry to Mister Mundo Brasil 2015. The contest was expertly organized by Ophicina de Modelos.

First runner-up Felipe was Kaio's stiffest competition! We intend to petition the organizers to sash Felipe with an eligible Mister Mundo Brasil 2015 title, as we think he could do well in that competition, too!

MISS BOSNE I HERCEGOVINE 2014

Isidora Rovčanin won the Miss BiH 2014 (Miss Bosne i Hercegovine/Miss Bosnia and Herzegovnia) title tonight at the end of a glittering gala at the Hotel Terme Ilidža in Saravejo. Runners-up in the 19th annual event were Antonija Vučić and Belma Ibrahimović. Special award winners at this year's Miss BiH za Miss svijeta contest included Miss Congeniality Edina Pašalić, Miss Internet Medina Iskrić, Miss Photogenic Munevera Muratović, and Miss Televote Marijana Bjelica. The contest was televised on both Felderalna televitzija and RTRS-a. 

MIS LIETUVA 2014

The prestigious Mis Lietuva 2014 (Miss Lithuania 2014) contest was held tonight in Kėdainiuose, the geographical center of the small Baltic nation. 12 women competed for the crown, with Agnė Kavaliauskaitė declared the overall winner. She will compete in Miss World this December in London. First runner-up was Patricia Bolousova, who is ethnic Russian. She will compete in the next-scheduled Miss Universe. Second runner-up was Domantė Kelbauskaitė. Miss Elegance  was awarded to Gintare Misiūnaitė, Miss Photo to Reda Giedrikaitė, and Miss Gracija to Cornelia Jurkutė.

With the possible exception of Miss France, Mis Lietuva has the best production values of any nationally-televised Miss contest that we know of!
