Jessica Hayes, Miss Buck Whaleys (a popular Dublin nightclub), is the new Miss Ireland 2014. She won the title tonight at the conclusion of a gala event at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin. Hailing from Cork, she is 20, and she will represent the Emerald Isle at this year's Miss World. Miss Ireland 2014 runners-up were Miss Dublin Central Shannon Howe, 21, and Miss Louth Fionnuala Short, 17. A total of 36 women competed for this year's title.
