A 20-year-old beauty queen Larissa Ramos from Brazil was crowned 2009 Miss Earth, the 9th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, was held at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center, in the Island of Boracay, Philippines last November 22, 2009.
At the end of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2008 Karla Henry of the Philippines crowned Larissa Ramos of Brazil as her successor.
