This innocent photo from the Miss World 1993 contest caused furor and controversy, and Miss Lebanon Ghada Turk was persecuted for having posed with Miss Israel Tamara Porat. The more things change, the more things stay the same.
We believe that both the Lebanese and Israeli governments need to re-think their entire perception of each other, if only to benefit the Lebanese and Israeli people.

UPDATE ON MISS UNIVERSE FEVER OUTBREAK
Our BS scholars who are minoring in epidemiology have just given us this latest outbreak alert. The outbreak is most severe the USA, which is odd, as the USA is not known to be pageant-crazy. And, as the stats indicate, Miss Universe fever is spiking in Europe - Germany, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom, for example. We are likely not able to get reliable information from Latin America on Miss Universe fever, since Latino pageant fans know that Dean Harris is generally anti-Latina and specifically anti-Miss Venezuela. NOTE: The stats below are as of 12-Jan-2015, 12PM New York time.

A BOGÔSSE IS CROWNED MISTER FRANCE 2015
Mister France 2015 is Aurélien Giorgino, Mister Pays de La Loire. According to Le Parisien, he is what you would call a "BG, un «bogôsse»," and we can see why! Oh la la! ;-) He won the title last night at the thundering climax of a gala ceremony at the Théâtre La Bruyère in Paris' 9e arrondissement. He topped nine other men for the crown. Aurélien, 25 and 1m85, is a model and bartender (having won a "Mister Cocktail" contest in the past). Premier Dauphin was Stéphane Chatelain, Mister Nord-Pas-De-Calais; and Deuxieme Dauphin was Rangitea Bennett, Mister Tahiti.
Le Parisien certainly got it right when they said, "la présentation de chaque candidat en sous-vêtements et torses nus, un must du concours." ("the presentation of each candidate in underwear and bare torsos, a contest must.").

What better excuse to feature Colombia's star footballer James Rodriguez on BS than his wining the prestigious FIFA Prix Puskás / Puskás Prize at a gala ceremony yesterday. Currently, James plays for Real Madrid. In our humble opinion, he was the best player during the 2014 World Cup, not to mention the absolute effing hottest. And yes, we know he is a Papi with a gorgeous family.
Papi is also the hottest effing underwear model ever! The J10 line by Bronzini Black launched several months ago. Dean Harris proudly wears his J10's every night!

JAPAN WINS REINADO INTERNACIONAL DEL CAFE 2015
Miss Japan, Yuri Uchida, 25 and 1m71, won the Reinado Internacional del Café 2015 title last night during a gala ceremony in Manizales. Also, Yuri walked away with the "Mejor Rostro Jolie de Vogue" title. This beauty pageant is a central event at the Feria de Manizales, now celebrating its 59th year. If our scholarship is correct, this marks the first time for Japan to win the title. First runner-up for the Reinado Internacional del Café 2015 title was Miss Portugal, Marcia Milene Gómez Assunção, 19; second runner-up was Miss Venezuela, Julibeth Jasmín Angarita Serrano, 23; third runner-up was Miss Colombia, Connie Lorena Ojeda, 20; and fourth runner-up was Miss Haiti, Yvanna Jean Baptiste, 23. MISS BELGIUM 2015
Annelies Törös, 19 and 1m77, is the new Miss Belgium 2015. She won the title tonight during a gala, glittering ceremony. Runners-up were Leylah Alliet, 23, and Charlotte Vanbiervliet, 19. Annelies was one of the tallest women in this year's contest, she is of Hungarian ancestry, and is in her second year of communications.
