The top-notch, highly reputable, superbly-managed, and therefore usually scandal-free Mister Brasil (for Mr World) system met with a scandal (of sorts) this weekend. In perhaps what might be called Shades of Miss World 1980, the winner of Friday night's Mister Distrito Federal 2015 contest, Mister Parkway Lucas Ramalho, renounced the title the next day for reasons which appear having to be do with the contract he would have to sign. The Mister Distrito Federal 2015 franchise quickly appointed first runner-up Mister Lago Sul, the hubba-hubba handsome, green-eyed Ecktor Lopes as the new titleholder. Ecktor is 24, stands 1m84, has a degree in marketing, and is an entrepreneur. Having duly signed the contract, Ecktor, in June, competes for the Mister Brasil title and the right to represent his nation at Mr World.
