Last Thursday evening, as part of the Feria de Málaga, the Auditorio Municipal del Cortijo de Torres was the site for the election of the Reina y Míster de la Feria de Málaga 2013, organized by the Federación Malagueña de Peñas, Centros Culturales and Casas Regionales. The contest is a crowd favorite for fair-goers, and it attracts a larger number of competitors. This year, a total of 57 candidates (30 women and 27 men) vied for the coveted titles. Emerging as Reina was Raquel Cristina Pérez, 24; receiving the Míster title was Emilio Sánchez Moya, also 24. Runners-up were María Tempa (Reina) and Francisco Javier López Saldaña (Míster).
