The new Miss World Italy (Miss Mondo Italia) 2014 is Silvia Cataldi, 24 and 1m81. Her hometown of Sannicola, with all of 6,000 residents, is just 7 kilometers from Gallipoli, when the finale took place last night. The gala event, hosted by RAI TV show hosts Gigi and Ros, was held outdoors, in the port, on the shores of the Ionian Sea, and attended by over 5,000 people. Silvia, a raven-haired, green-eyed stunner, will have to put her dream of becoming a police officer on hold until this December at least, when she represents the "Bel Paese" at Miss World 2014. The first runner-up for the coveted title was another stunner, blonde, blue-eyed Rachele Mori. 50 women competed in this year's edition of Miss Mondo Italia.
