This past weekend the Miss CEDEAO (ECOWAS) 2012 pageant took place in Cote d'Ivoire. The pageant has been held on and off for the past 20 years, bringing together the 15 nations of the Economic Community of West African States. This year, 12 of the 15 nations sent delegates to the pageant. Guinea's Mariam Diallo, 23, won the coveted title. First runner-up was Cape Verde's Jirzah Ellen Evora, and second runner-up was Nigeria's Joyce Ngozi Chidebe.
