MISS UGANDA 2014

Miss Uganda 2014 is Leah Kalanguka, 23, and coincidentally a former mushroom and poultry farmer. We say coincidentally because the contest was overhauled this year to focus on agriculture (and we won't even mention the contest has a direct link to the country's armed forces as part of this overhaul). Runners-up to Leah were Brenda Iriama and Yasmin Taban. A total of 20 women competed in this year's contest, held at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala. (Photo: AFP)
