BEAUTY OF SOCIAL MEDIA - LECTURE ONE

Dean Harris and Prof. Chandni remember the days when there were just a few pageant-related websites and message boards. Now, there are tons of pageant sites and message boards. In addition, there are facebook pages, YouTube channels, Twitter accounts, Instagram accounts. etc. Social media has transformed the way we get information on pageants and titleholders, keep up with them, and share our interests with fellow pageant fans. The latest course offering here at Beauty School is "The Beauty of Social Media," taught by none other than Prof. Chandni. The course will be given on this blog instead of in the classroom. Our first lecture will focus on facebook. Please peruse the pageant-related facebook pages below. After having carefully perused each site, please jot down your notes on the pages, comparing and contrasting their editorial tone, their posts, etc. This exercise is in preparation for the final exam. We'll look at more facebook pages in our next lecture!
