For the first time in over 50 years, Myanmar will send a delegate to the Miss Universe pageant. Representing the ancient Buddhist nation at Miss Universe 2013 will be Moe Set Wine, 25. Moe, a fluent English speaker (she attended university in the USA), won the Miss Universe Myanmar 2013 title last night during a gala ceremony at the National Theatre in Yangon, fending off 19 other competitors. The contest was broadcast live in country, via a private television network.
