Prof. Chandni shall explain, "Megillah is Hebrew for scroll or volume, and is used especially in reference to the Book of Esther, read aloud every year at Purim.And what does the phrase 'the whole megillah' mean? It means, according to Merriam-Webster, 'a long involved story or account.'"
