After a brief scarce over the purported cancellation of the Miss Universe Jamaica 2013 contest (which nearly caused the hospitalization of Dean Harris and Prof. Chandni - both had severe panic attacks upon hearing the news), all is well. There is a new, stunning Miss Universe Jamaica! She is Kerrie Baylis, 25. She won the title last night, besting 10 other women in a scaled-down, but still glittering gala. In 2009, she repped Jamaica at Miss World 2009. Can she do what Christine Straw did in 2004? Or what Yendi Phillipps did in 2010? Or even better? We'll see come 09-Nov in Moscow!
