WHO WILL BE MISS AND MISTER TOPOLINI 2014?

We think Angela should compete in Miss Italia and Ivan in Mister Italia!

As you know, we loooooooooove 1) local and regional contests; 2) especially if they are co-ed contests; 3) and even more so if the winners are crowned in swimsuits. Miss and Mister Topolini 2014 meets all three criteria! The annual contest is held in the Italian city of Trieste, on the Adriatic Sea. Eligible contestants can be from the Italian Triveneto (the Belluno, Bolzano,Gorizia, Padua, Pordenone, Rovigo, Trento, Treviso, Trieste, Udine, Venice, Verona, Vicenza provinces), Slovenia, and Croatia. The fact that the contest is open to contestants from (very near-by) Slovenia and Croatia is a sort of history lesson. Trieste was historically part of several different empires and countries, and, for the purposes of Beauty School's Modern Geography of the Universe course,  only became an official part of Italy in 1954.

Who will be the 2014 winners? We will know on 05-Sep, which is the day of the big finale. In the meantime, you can vote for your favorites at Il Piccolo newspaper. 

Competing for the Miss title are Karen Bevilacqua, Ioana Radu, Veronica Neglia, Michelle Scialino, Giorgia Kero, Sara Stokic, Anita Pavicic, Beatrice Visintini, Alice De Sabbata, Tiniuas Mededovic, Jessica Ria, Luana Drigo, Sara Cozzarini, Sara Baldassi, Gloria Fregonese, and Debora Romano. Plus two "suplentes."

Competing in the Mister category are Marco Lagovini, Simone Zampa, Omar Brezigar, Fabrizio Peric, Florit Hoxha, Jeremy Della Giustina, Marco Pianina, Daniele Parma, Juan Luis Barroso, Rimau Mihar Grillo Ritzberger, Alexandru Tibireac, Christian Menichini, Franco Marino, Simone Craglietto, Davide Di Pinto, and Marco Piccinini. Plust two "suplentes."
