Hosana Elliot, 21 and a biotech student, is the new Miss Universo Rio de Janeiro 2014. She won the title on Saturday night (30-Aug-2014) at the Cidade do Samba, in the Zona Portuária of Rio. First runner-up was Arlinda Miranda. A total of 18 women competed in this year's televised contest, which had a circus theme. Hosana will not compete at Miss Universo Brasil 2014, to be held in Fortaleza on 27-Sep-2014.
